Am 24.Oktober 2008 veröffentlicht David sein Nachfolgewerk „Encore“. Dass er sich nicht verbiegen lässt, hat er schon oft genug bewiesen. Wichtig zu erwähnen ist dass David Garrett im Oktober diesen Jahres den begehrten „Echo Klassik 2008“ entgegennehmen wird. Einst das typische Wunderkind hat er den Absprung geschafft und ist inzwischen mit seiner eigenen Musik erfolgreich, bestimmt selbst über sein Leben. Und genau das spiegelt auch sein neues Album wieder - seinen ganz persönlichen Musikgeschmack. So finden sich auf der Tracklist Klassiker der Rockmusik, große Melodien der Klassik, weltbekannte Filmmusiken und einige Eigenkompositionen des 27jährigen. David Garrett schafft das Unmögliche: Er interpretiert Songs wie Queens „Who wants to live forever“, den Titeltrack der„Pirates of the caribean“ und Johann SebastianBachs “Air” komplett neu und schafft es diese unterschiedlichen Titel in ebenso stimmiges wie faszinierendes Konzept zu bringen ohne kitschig zu wirken.
